So I got to go on a tour of FUNKO on Friday. For those who don't know who they are, they make these cool viynil figures that are mostly things from pop culture, hence the name of their collectible toy line POP! I have been seeing their stuff for awhile now and since I'm wanting to go into toy design, I researched them. I found out they were 21 minutes from my house! I pass by there all the time and it's just crazy! It's a tiny company, but I can really see it becoming a big thing
So anyways, I contacted them and I was able to get a tour. A really nice person named Shawndra gave us the tour (my brother came with me) and it took about 20 minutes (it's not that big of a building). But the whole time I was like head over heels excited! I got to see their concept wall (my favorite part, where they have pictures of the ones they're designing) and I felt like, "I really could do this!" I also got to see the prototypes of the my little pony pops, they're really cute!
So yeah, they don't have any jobs now, but I am totally going to stay in contact. So in the meantime I hope to find a job where I can create pretty things and get paid for it.
